The map, not the keys.
We never store your passwords, private keys or recovery phrases. We record what exists, where it lives and what you want done — your executor inherits a roadmap, not a ring of keys.
About NYLK
NYLK is Australia's dedicated digital-legacy service — a professionally managed inventory of your entire digital life, held under careful custody and released to the right person at the right time.
Our origin story
After losing both his father and his sister, founder Zack van Zyl was left piecing together their digital lives — recovering cherished photos, accessing critical accounts and safeguarding assets of real value — all while planning funerals and grieving.
A decade in digital forensics meant he could just barely manage it. He knew which doors could still be opened, which platforms would cooperate, and which mistakes would close a door forever. Most people don't — and shouldn't have to learn it in the hardest week of their lives.
That's why NYLK exists: to help families take control of their digital lives now, so the people they love aren't left figuring it out in their darkest moments. We've seen exactly what executors hit when they try to reach locked accounts — and we designed the Digital Directive to remove every one of those obstacles, before they appear.
Your Legacy. Poured Forward.
What we believe
We never store your passwords, private keys or recovery phrases. We record what exists, where it lives and what you want done — your executor inherits a roadmap, not a ring of keys.
Locally accountable, locally answerable. Real humans answer the phone, sit with you at check-ins, and walk your executor through the hardest days at their pace.
Encryption at rest and in transit, multi-factor access, verified executor release, chain-of-custody discipline. The standards of a forensics lab, applied to your family's future.
The subject is sensitive, so the manner is graceful. No fear-mongering, no countdown timers. We've done this many times — there is nothing to panic about.
The mark
Our mark is a teardrop — grief and memory in the same small shape. But a drop is also how anything of value is passed on: carefully, deliberately, one vessel into the next. That is the whole service, drawn in one line. Everything you built, held safely, then poured forward to the people you love.
How we work
You're assigned a real person. The service is built around appointments, not tickets.
Your Directive is built with an account manager in structured sessions — you talk, we document, encrypt and organise. You never face a blank form alone.
Digital lives drift. Scheduled check-ins — 30 or 45 minutes, depending on your plan — keep your Directive matched to the life you actually live.
Nothing is released until a death certificate is verified and your nominated executor confirms their identity. Then — and only then — your Directive is decrypted on their device.
Guided Executor Support comes standard with every plan — a specialist on the phone, walking your person through closures, transfers and memorialisation, step by step.
The gap we fill
Modern estates are digital, but the rules around them are not. Until they are, families need a plan that works today.
Executors face outdated laws, restrictive terms of service and impenetrable security. NYLK turns that mess into a clear, actionable roadmap. Why digital-legacy planning matters — NYLK research desk
